The point of Triplets is to divide each shape into three identical smaller shapes. That is, the smaller shapes have to be identical to each other (in both size and shape), not to the original larger shape, of course. Rotations and reflections (mirror images) are acceptable. For instance, this shape:

(Actually, this particular shape has an alternate solution you may want to try to find. As far as I know, though, there's only one way to divide each of the other shapes in the puzzle into three identical smaller shapes.)
The grid lines are just there to make it easier to see the exact dimensions of the shapes; your dividing lines don't have to follow the grid lines exactly. In fact, you may notice that the edges of some of the shapes - numbers 11 and 16, in particular - don't follow the grid lines (or their diagonals). That's not a mistake; they just don't have sides with integral ratios. Don't worry; they can still be divided into three identical parts.
